Turning the on-going reports true, popular Telugu actor Nithiin has got engaged to his fiancé Shalini Kandukuri in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning. Taking to his official social handle, the 37-year-old shared a picture from the pre-wedding celebration where he can be seen exchanging rings with Shalini amid the presence of family members. While Nithiin looked handsome in a white Kurta, Shalini slipped into a red embroidered saree for the occasion. On July 26, the duo will be tying the knot at the prestigious Falaknuma Palace hotel in Hyderabad.
Owing to COVID-19 crisis and the lockdown guidelines issued by the government, it is going to be a close-knit wedding with only family members and few friends in attendance. Recently, Nithiin has met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and handed over his wedding invitation. Meanwhile, speculations are rife that actor-cum-politician Pawan Kalyan will be attending the marriage of his ardent admirer along with Varun Tej and Trivikram Srinivas.
Initially, families from both sides have made plans for a destination wedding in Dubai. But, due to the rapid spread of coronavirus, they have decided to go for a private event with limited attendees. On February 15, Nithiin and Shalini kicked-off their wedding formalities with a traditional ceremony.
On the work front, Nithiin has a bunch of projects in the pipeline. Besides Andhadhun remake, Rang De and Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s film, the ‘Heart Attack’ actor is teaming up with director Krishna Chaitanya for the ‘most challenging and ambitious film’ of his career.
