I’ve got a trailer here for you to watch for a cool looking horror film set during World War II titled Ghosts of War. I always thought that it would be a cool film concept to see a team of soldiers getting trapped in a haunted house during the war! I actually wrote a little story treatment for that concept years ago that tied into the Nazi occult practices.
Well, Vertical Entertainment managed to produce a film that plays with this concept and it looks pretty good! The film stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Titans, The Giver) and the story follows five battle-hardened American soldiers who “are assigned to hold a French Chateau near the end of World War II. Formerly occupied by the Nazi high command, this unexpected respite quickly descends into madness when they encounter a supernatural enemy far more terrifying than anything seen on the battlefield.”
My concept was more of a psychological horror-thriller that messes with your head. This film seems like it will be more in your face with the big jump scares. This will be a fun flick to check out!
The movie also stars Alan Ritchson (Titans, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blue Mountain State), Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy, Luke Cage), Kyle Gallner (American Sniper, The Finest Hours), Billy Zane (Titanic, The Phantom), and Shaun Toub (Iron Man, Snowpiercer).
Ghosts of War was written and directed by Eric Bress (The Butterfly Effect, Final Destination 2, Kyle XY) and the movie will be released on DirecTV on June 18th, 2020, and will then be released via virtual cinema screenings, On Demand, and digitally on July 17th, 2020.[ad_2]
