Arjun and Janhvi Kapoor welcome Keerthy Suresh to Bollywood with unmissable wish

Mumbai: Many South Indian actresses have stepped into Bollywood after their impressive work in the regional languages. The latest one to join the bandwagon is Keerthy Suresh, who will be playing the woman lead in Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma’s upcoming film with Ajay Devgn.

The film, which is based on the life of Indian football player and coach Syed Abdul Rahim, is produced by Boney Kapoor. His children, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor extended a warm welcome to Keerthy with adorable posts.

An excited Janhvi said that she was mesmerised by Keerthy’s performance in Mahanati, a biopic on legendary actress Savitri. Sharing a photo of the Sarkar actress, Janhvi wrote, “@keerthysureshofficial been obsessed with you since I saw Mahanati. So excited that you’re a part of dads next film. Welcome!!!”

Keerthy is quite elated to have bagged a Bollywood film in such a short span of time. In an interview to an English daily, she said, “I am elated and honoured to be a part of such a great story. This is a film that will make every Indian proud. I believe this is a story that doesn’t belong to any specific region or language of India but is a great Indian story that the world should know.”

She also revealed that she is fluent in Hindi and would join the sets sometime in June this year. The untitled film is jointly produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta.
