Srikant Mishra, the chief priest of Kashi Vishwanath temple, who had offered special prayers for Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal, claims he had communicated to NaMo immediately after the prayers that with the blessings of Baba Vishwanath he will become PM from Banaras. “I told this much before Modi had decided to contest from Varanasi,” he said.
At the fag end of my two-hour talks with him, the chief priest revealed that he was an active member of the Bajrang Dal and had been arrested during the Babri Masjid demolition drive in 1992. “I was lodged in jail for two weeks and was shocked when I saw a jhadoo (broom) being used to wipe the powder flour from rotis in VIP treatment.”
During the special prayers in the Kashi Vishwanath temple, Mishra said, Modi radiated with a divine aura, while Kejriwal gave negative and depressing vibes and Rahul appeared totally indifferent.
