Whoops! You placed an order on Amazon, but after you placed it, you realized — you selected the wrong shipping address. That tin of cashews you wanted isn’t going to do you any good if it gets shipped to your parents’ house in the next state over. So what do you do now?
Well, as long as Amazon hasn’t begun processing your order yet, you can always cancel it. There’s even an option in the “Reason for cancellation” dropdown menu that says “Need to change shipping address.”
Once you cancel the order, you can just place it again, this time with the correct address in place.
However, if the order is being shipped by Amazon, and hasn’t left the warehouse, there’s an even simpler way to fix this conundrum.
Since Amazon itself is shipping it, and the information didn’t need to be sent to a third party, you can just go in and change the address.
If you do want to change the shipping address on an Amazon order you’ve already placed, you’ll have to access the website on your desktop.
Here’s how to do it.
