Blast at jewellery manufacturing unit takes 4 lives

Thrissur, 19 March, Sreeparvathy K.: The death toll in the gas cylinder blast at the jewellery manufacturing unit at Mulangu has risen to 4, and 3 among the 14 injured are in serious condition.

According to the Police, 18 year old West Bengal native Puppi and Prasad Malipparambil from Mulangu died today at the Jubilee Mission Medical College, Thrissur.

The accident had occurred on Monday evening when the gas cylinder leaked and then blast took place killing one person on the spot. Palakkad native Sanjith died on the spot and another person from Poonkalam, Dhanesh died early in the morning at the hospital.   The gold jewellery manufacturing unit is owned by Parapookkara resident Saleesh and Police have booked case against him under accidental murder.
