Paid News: 65 cases in Kerala

Kochi, 17 March, Sreeparvathy K.: According to the Election Commission data, 65 cases of Paid news has been reported in Kerala. The data suggests that highest number of cases is reported in Punjab and highest number of notices to candidates were given in Gujarat. The Commission gave notice to 65 candidates on 65 cases in Kerala, whereas in Punjab 339 candidates were given notices as per 534 cases and 495 candidates in Gujarat on 414 cases.

No cases were reported in Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland and least cases was reported in Puducherry where 3 candidates were given notices on 3 cases. West Bengal is also having fewer cases, 15 candidates on 8 cases. Uttar Pradesh has 90 cases; Uttarakhand, Goa, Assam, Karnataka, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh have reported 30, 9, 42, 42, 121 and 104 cases respectively.
