Bajrangi Bhaijaan passed by Censor Board with ‘U/A’ Certificate

Mumbai: Salman Khan’s fans from both sides of the Indo-Pak corder can rejoice. But with reservations. The new Salman Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan (BB) has been passed by the Censor Board Of Film Certification(CBFC) with a ‘UA’ certificate .

This means Salman’s younger fans can only see this eagerly-awaited film when accompanied by an adult. According to sources close to BB the producers had hoped for a ‘U’ certificate, as a very large part of Salman’s fan-following constitutes kids.

However the good news is that very little cuts were ordered by the CBFC. There was trepidation among director Kabir Khan and the film’s team that the film’s comments on relations between India and Pakistan may find objection at the CBFC.

But sources at the CBFC say the Examining Comment “loved” the Indo-Pak peace message. “We found nothing objectionable in the comments on relations between the two countries. In fact, the film has a lovely message about friendship between the two countries with Salman Khan playing a peace ambassador,” says a CBFC source.
