4 women in top 5 in recently declared UPSC results 2015

New Delhi(web team): The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services results 2015 were declared at 1.30 pm on Saturday.

The civil services preliminary examination was conducted on August 24 last year at 2,137 venues in 59 centres across the country.

According to reports, about 4.51 lakh people appeared for the examination this year.

Out of the five candidates who topped the civil services exams this year, four are women.

Ira Singhal, Renu Raj, Nidhi Gupta, Vandana Rao and Suharsa Bhagat are the five who have topped this exam.

A total number of 1236 candidates have been recommended for appointment.

The candidates can check their results on upsc.gov.in.

The civil services preliminary examination was conducted on August 24 last year at 2,137 venues in 59 centres across the country. According to reports, a total of 1,364 posts are to be filled, for which about 4.51 lakh people appeared for the examination. Earlier in April this year, UPSC Chairman Deepak Gupta had mooted a proposal for structural changes in the number of papers to be made part of the selection process, even as he favoured revolving a “foolproof” online system of examinations.
