Blast on local train in Kolkata, at least 19 Injured

Kolkata(web team): According to the official, the rivalry between two gangs could have led to the incident. The railway police were investigating the incident.

At least 19 people have been injured in a low intensity blast in a Krishnanagar bound local train from Sealdah in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The incident took place at 3:55 am between Barrackpore and Titagarh railway station.

A crude bomb exploded inside a compartment of Sealdah-Krishnangar local train near Titagarh station, about 30 km from Kolkata.

According to the official, the rivalry between two gangs could have led to the incident. The railway police were investigating the incident.

All injured have been admitted to RG Kar medical college hospital in Kolkata.

Police, fire brigade and railway rescue teams have rushed to the spot. Train services on the Sealdah-Barrackpore of the main suburban section have been suspended.
