New Delhi/ Peshawar(IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said India is standing firmly with Pakistan in its fight against terror as the country witnessed a deadly attack by militants at a school in Peshawar which killed at least 141 people.

Modi called his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif to express his ‘deep condolences’ over the attack.
“Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif over the telephone. Offered my deepest condolences on the dastardly terror attack in Peshawar.” Modi tweeted.
“India stands firmly with Pakistan in fight against terror. Told PM Sharif we are ready to provide all assistance during this hour of grief,” he said.
Modi urged schools across India to observe 2 minutes of silence on Wednesday as a mark of solidarity.
“In the wake of dastardly attack in Pakistan, I appeal to schools across India to observe 2 mins of silence tomorrow as a mark of solidarity,” he said.

Pakistan Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif earlier in the day tweeted: “Indian Prime Minister Modi called Prime Minister Sharif & expressed his deep condolences on the tragic death of innocent school children.”
A day-long brutality by six militants at the Army Public School and College in Peshawar city has killed 141 people including 132 children and 9 staff members of the school.
According to reports, six estimated terrorists stormed into the school and targeted the children.
All of them have been gunned down by the security forces, Pakistan Police confirmed.
