Kolkata: A day after the arrest of Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose, West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi on Saturday said that the agency must have had some “good reasons” to do it.
CBI must have had good reasons to arrest TMC MP Srinjoy Bose, says West Bengal Governor
“The agency which has arrested him must have had some good reasons to do it. Therefore, it is premature to make any comment,” the Governor told reporters on the sidelines of a programme here when asked to comment on Bose’s arrest.
Bose was arrested yesterday by the CBI for alleged involvement in the multi-crore Saradha ponzi scam.
Bose was arrested “for prima facie involvement in the Saradha realty case and for allegations of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of funds and deriving undue financial benefit,” a CBI spokesman had stated.
