New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee will present the Indira Gandhi National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards on Wednesday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Pranab Mukherjee to present Indira Gandhi National Service Scheme Awards today
The Indira Gandhi National Service Scheme Awards was instituted during 1992-93 for giving recognition to outstanding work done under the National Service Scheme. The award carries a cash prize of Rs two lakhs, citation and a memento.
The National Service Scheme is one of the flagship programmes of the Government of India (GoI) which aims at development of personality and character of students through voluntary community service.
