The newest couple to stay together from Married at First Sight 10, Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd, have overcome their challenges from their season. In an exclusive statement to Screen Rant, Jessica shares how her once major concern turned out to be more doable than expected

Season 10 fan-favorite couple, Jessica and Austin, lived up to viewers expectations by staying married on Decision Day. While most of their journey on the show was smooth sailing the couple had a few problems the front line worker was unsure she could overlook.

Once Jessica submitted to her heart, telling Austin she loved him the 31-year-old anxiously awaited her beau to share the same sentiment. As Decision Day approached and that expression had not been returned Jessica became weary. Her frustration combined with the reveal of Austin’s intensive travel for work schedule brought questions about whether the two would stay together. Eventually, on Decision Day Austin said he loved his wife. With one problem eliminated, it was only Austin’s work travel left to address. Fortunately, Jessica and Austin have overcome that hurdle. In an exclusive statement to Screen Rant Jessica shared how Austin’s travel for work played into their marriage:

Austin’s travel schedule was a major concern during the show but after filming we faced the challenge head-on and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought! Austin and I used video chatting and dinner dates on video while Austin was away. We also checked in frequently throughout the day and scheduled quality time for the evenings. When Austin was home we made sure to make each other a priority. Distance does make the heart grow founder and we are in a really good place!

Austin’s travel for work is long behind them for now, as the pandemic has him at home while Jessica works longer hours due to the spread of COVID-19. On an episode of Married at First Sight Couples’ Cam Jessica shared she recently took on a new position as the new director of the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the hospital she works. The position rose some concerns for Austin about his wife’s safety but she has reassured him she will be fine.

The tables may have switched regarding their work commitments but their effort and love for one another has only grown, even causing them to expand their family with the adoption of a puppy.
