FilmRise has released the first trailer for an upcoming technology paranoia thriller titled Browse. The movie stars Lukas Haas (Inception, First Man, Lady in White). I’ve always liked Haas, so it’s cool to see him leading a solid looking indie film like Browse.
Haas takes on the role of a character named Richard in the film, and this is the synopsis:
What Richard wanted was a fresh start, what he got was a nightmare. Browse tells the story of Richard Coleman (Lukas Haas), an introverted man who becomes convinced that his identity has been hacked after dabbling in online dating. Desperate for clarity, Richard seeks to uncover the truth of who is trying to manipulate him and why, but the more he struggles with his futile investigation, the further he’s cast into an insurmountable web of paranoia that threatens to destroy his thinning hold on reality…
I like the concept and it looks like a decent movie worth checking out. The movie was directed by Mike Teston (Dementia) and it also stars Sarah Rafferty, Chloe Bridges, and Bodhi Elfman.
FilmRise will release Browse direct-to-VOD on July 7th.
