YU-GI-OH! New MAXIMUM GOLD Set to Introduce New Premium Gold Rarity

[ad_1]

Konami recently announced a new set that will launch this holiday season called Maximum Gold. This set will feature a lot of reprints, but with a twist. Of the 162 cards in the set, 52 will be Premium Gold Rares. This is a new rarity that will see names, outlines, symbols, and borders given a holographic makeover to “shine like pools of precious molten metal.” This is surely going to be the envy of every duelist out there. The other 110 cards will be Gold Rares. This is the same as the Rares where only the name is holographic, but instead of silver lettering, it’ll be gold.

These rarities aren’t the only changes being made for Maximum Gold though. Six popular monsters will be receiving brand-new variant artwork along with the Premium Gold Rare treatment. We only know three of them so far and they are Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess; Droll & Lock Bird; and Elemental HERO Stratos.

Each box of Maximum Gold will include four packs and each pack will have seven cards: two Premium Gold Rares and five Gold Rares. Unfortunately, there’s no other word of what cards may be contained in the set, and we don’t have a look at what the Premium Gold Rares will look like. Hopefully, we can find out more soon. What cards do you hope get the treatment? I’m rooting for Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Chaos personally.
