Saharanpur, 27 July-2014, Indilens Web Team: Twenty people have been arrested in connection with the Saharanpur clashes in Uttar Pradesh. Three people are killed and 20 injured in the violence. Curfew and shoot-at-sight orders remained in forced in the city.

SSP Rajesh Kumar Pandey said, “The situation is under control and getting better minute by minute. Some miscreants tried to put some tubes on fire last night, but it was controlled. Nothing major happened last night. We have deployed para military forces.”
Saharanpur District Magistrate Sandhya Tiwari said that the situation has been under control. “There were minor incidents of arson. We have enough forces. We will review the curfew situation later in the afternoon and after that we will decide how long to continue it.”
The clashes began over a land dispute when a community members started construction work in Kutubsher area site on Saturday and which was opposed by the other group.
UP govt announced a financial aid of Rs. 10 lakh for the family of the three persons killed and Rs. 50,000 will be given to the injured.
