Most people know the basic purpose of Yelp — you need to find a specific business, but you don’t know where to go, so you turn to it to find a recommendation. Others might use Yelp as a place to add photos and reviews of businesses that they have previously patronised, sharing their experience with the world.

However, many tend to forget that Yelp has other neat features, including the ability to check-in to a business, allowing business owners to keep track of which Yelp users have visited their business at a certain time and day. Some businesses even take it a step further and offer incentives for checking into Yelp, including discounts or freebies.

If you are an avid Yelp user and want to let other Yelp users know where to visit, here’s how you can check-in to businesses on Yelp.
