Kerala Congress’s decision depends on Draft Notification
Another Kerala Congress (M) leader Francis George said that the content of the Draft Notification will decide the party decision. He added that they will not compromise beyond a point and the protection of farmers is the sole priority of the party. Decisions on the candidates for the Lok Sabha election and the party ally will also be depended on the Draft notification.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has promised that the Draft Notification will be released soon. He added that the inhabited areas, agricultural lands and estates in the 123 villages in Kerala are excluded from the Ecologically Sensitive Areas.
On the other hand, the decision of Draft Notification is depended on Election Commission. The Preliminary enquiry on the Draft Notification is seen as a violation to the Code of Conduct. Election Commission is expected to give a final call on the subject after having discussion in every way.
