  1. Be Selective with Your Study Topics

Familiarise yourself with the syllabus and identify your strong and weak topics. While you need to pay attention to all topics and not be overconfident, the weaker areas will need more attention. Do not go overboard trying to study topics, which are not a part of the syllabus. Also, do not ignore any of the topics listed in the syllabus. Once you have the syllabus in place, you can start collecting study material. You can refer to some publications by established writers and publications.

  1. Set a Timetable

If you are serious about the exam, you must be disciplined in your preparation. This is where a timetable proves to be helpful. Allot a fixed amount of time to each topic depending on its complexity and extensiveness. Time available is limited and hence should be distributed wisely across the topics. The tougher, more complicated and more extensive topics should be given more time.

  1. Find and Learn Shortcuts

Subjects like reasoning and quantitative aptitude can become a breeze if you can adopt certain shortcut methods for specific types of questions. The shortcuts will help you save time and you will be able to utilise it for the questions that need more time.

  1. Access Help Online

You will be able to find a large number of websites providing helpful material such as practice papers for SSCCGL online. You will also be able to learn about difficult topics in an interesting manner.

  1. Practice Using Different Tools

As you continue to learn about the various topics, you should also supplement the learning with practice. You can get access to questions from previous exams and try solving them. This will improve your speed as well. When solving the papers, give yourself lesser time with every practice session.

Acquiring knowledge for these exams is important for the exam, but in order to be successful, you will need to show proof of the knowledge by being able to answer all the questions that you know. For this, it is important to practice and manage time.
