Tim Anderson cranks walk-off dinger, celebrates with another emphatic bat toss because the game is supposed to be fun

Last week, Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson tossed his bat in celebration after homering against the Kansas City Royals. Kansas City pitcher Brad Keller wasn’t happy about the emotion Anderson showed, and plunked him later in the game. That led to the benches clearing, and suspensions were handed out to Keller and Anderson (in Anderson’s case, for language used during the brawl).

Well, on Friday night, Anderson blasted a walk-off dinger to beat the Detroit Tigers 12-11 in a wild one at U.S. Cellular Field. And rather than toning down his celebrating, Anderson once again unleashed a glorious bat toss.

Hopefully the Tigers will show more maturity than the Royals did and not “retaliate” for a baseball player enjoying himself, especially with it being a walk-off homer in this instance. And good for Anderson to not let last week’s incident change his fun-having.
