Kollam, 7 March, Sreeparvathy K.: The Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) State Secretary AA Aseez stated that it cannot rule out the possibility of a friendly competition in Kollam if LDF does not give the Kollam constituency to RSP. RSP decided to abstain from LDF meeting as CPI (M) clarified that it is not ready to hand over Kollam seat to RSP. CPI(M) declared Polit Buro member M A Baby to contest the election from Kollam constituency.
Cannot rule out a friendly contest: RSP
RSP Kollam District Secretary Advocate Phillip K Thomas stated that N K Premachandran will be the candidate for RSP in Kollam and the decisions will be taken at the State meet to be conducted on Saturday. VP Ramakrishna Pillai, former RSP State Secretary expressed his protest over the single handed action taken by CPI(M) and stated it as injustice as the decision was taken without consulting other parties in the LDF. He said that final decision will be taken in the State meet and then convey the decision to CPI(M) officially. He added that they won’t hesitate to leave LDF if their demands are not met.
