Modi’s Visit to Kashmir: Friday prayers not allowed

Srinagar, 4 July-2014(Only Kashmir): In view of the Prime Minister Narender Modi’s visit to the Kashmir, besides curfew and restrictions, no Friday congregation prayers were allowed to offer in the Grand Masjid of the Valley situated in Old City Srinagar.

Police also places Masjid’s Chief Cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house detention. Strict Curfew has been imposed in various places in and outside the Srinagar in view of the Modi’s Maiden visit to the Valley. Various Pro-Freedom leaders including Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Er Hilal Ahmad War, Yasin Malik, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Syed Salim Geelani, Advocate Shah-id-ul-Islam, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and others have been placed under detention.
