Mumbai, 30 June-2014, India Today: Rani Mukerji’s action thriller Mardaani’s created quite a buzz with it’s gripping trailer. However the film has landed into trouble with the Censor Board for it’s hard-hitting scenes in the trailer.
The Central Board of Film Certification is reportedly not happy with use of cuss words in the trailer and wants it to be deleted.
The makers have been asked to delete the cuss word, ha*****da from the film’s promo.
According to reports, the board has also demanded a scene in the promo showing rape attempt be snipped.
The film starring Rani Mukerji in titular role, is based on human trafficking, where Rani as a crime branch officer leads a trail to catch the trafficking mafia.
Produced by Yashraj Films, the movie is set to release on August 22.
