Saturday

No. 1 James Madison vs. No. 5 South Dakota State at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU (live stream)

No. 2 North Dakota State cruised to a 42-10 victory against Wofford in the quarterfinals. Quarterback Easton Stick was very good, throwing for 184 yards and three touchdowns with only five incompletions. Stick had a much quieter performance against the Bearkats, but it’s because the Bison ran for 471 yards in the rout.

No. 1 James Madison is only one game away from playing in its second consecutive. championship game. The Dukes won the FCS national championship last year, but they cannot overlook No. 5 South Dakota State. The Dukes snuck by Weber State in the quarterfinals, 31-28, while the Jackrabbits are coming off a huge 56-14 win against New Hampshire. SDSU has to remain dominant on offense and find ways to wear down James Madison’s defense — which has only surrendered 10.8 points per game over a five-game span.
