Brissett is on a downward spiral heading into a tough matchup with Denver. We break down the fantasy implications.
It has been a tough three weeks for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Brissett has failed to reach 200 passing yards the last three games.
Sunday, in a snowy affair, the sophomore QB only completed 11 passes on 22 attempts for 69 yards and rushed three times for 10 yards. He did throw a three-yard touchdown to tight end Jack Doyle in the loss to the Buffalo Bills. Brissett has scored in back-to-back games. He also has at least one turnover in every game since Week 7.
Brissett hopes to bounce back against the Denver Broncos at home Thursday night. The Broncos have a stout passing defense that has allowed the second-fewest yards in the air this season. They are far from perfect, however. The Broncos have given up the most passing touchdowns in the league this year as well.
Fantasy impact: It has been a rough road for Brissett lately. He faced the best defense in the league in Week 13 and dealt with tough weather conditions in Week 14. Now, he has a matchup with the second-best passing defense in the NFL. Brissett is looking at another slow night Thursday. He has some streamer appeal against a Broncos defense that is easy to score on. However, in the playoff semifinals, Brissett is not the QB to trust to make it to the championship game.
