In one of its visits, NIA seized 18 live timer bombs and arrested five suspected Indian Mujahideen operatives from the state. Ranchi SSP Prabhat Kumar said: “A team of NIA has arrived here in connection with the multiple blasts case in Patna. I do not have much information about their activities.” NIA investigators paid a visit to Seethio village in the morning and scouted certain pockets in the village. The scouting was part of an exercise to cross check the revelations made by the IM suspects. It, however, did not search any house in the Muslim-dominated village. tnn

A source said that NIA has come with two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists with whom it is here to investigate the case. The suspected terrorists are Haider Ali alias Black Beauty and Mujibullah Ansari who were arrested recently. “NIA comes only when it gets certain leads in any case. Now that it has come once again it must have some leads,” said a police officer.

NIA suspects that IM operatives from Ranchi had a hand in Bodh Gaya blasts as well. During previous raids, NIA had recovered bombs from different places in Ranchi which were similar to those used in Bodh Gaya blasts. NIA had gone to Bodh Gaya recently with two suspected IM operatives and has come here with them.
