CM of Odisha nominates Bhupinder Singh and A U Singhdeo as Rajya Sabha candidates for BJD

It should be noted that these two seats fell vacant after former RS member Shashi Bhushan Behera and Rabi Narayan Mohapatra resigned and contested for the State Assembly elections.

The Election Commission issued Notification for Rajya Sabha polls from two seats from Odisha. Nomination filing starts from today; last date June 23. Election will be held on July 3.

The filing of nomination papers would begin from June 16 and would end on June 23. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on June 24 while June 26 is the last day of withdrawing nomination. The election for the two seats would be held on July 3 from 9AM to 4PM. The counting of votes would take place at 5PM , the same day.
