Pattan, 4 June-2014, Peerzada Mansoor: Residents of Yadipora Hyderbeigh Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District today staged protest demonstration against the non-availability of proper drinking water in the Village.

According to sources Villagers started protest in Yadipora and were on way to Hyderbeigh to block Baramulla -Srinagar
national highway. However forces used teargas shells to disperse them. In this protest both men and women’s of the Village participated. “We are facing immense hardships due to the non-availability of drinking water in the village” said Irfan Ahmad a local resident. Protesters also said that few years back Water Tubewells were constructed by the Government but in these Water Tubewells there is presence of high iron that is harmful for our health, how can we
drink the water of these Tubevells. Protesters also appealed the department of PHE to look into the matter and provide justice.
