2nd International Flight Operated From Biju Patnaik International Airport

Bhubaneswar, 28 May-2014: A Charter flight operated by Ligare Aviation Ltd. Falcon 7X type aircraft Regn. VT-RGX with 04 passenger including pax & crew carrying capacity of 15 pax landed at Biju Patnaik International airport here on 28.05.2014 at 1335 hrs. Passengers are greeted warmly by Airport Staff.

It was the Second International non-scheduled flight operation from the airport after the Ministry of Civil Aviation declared it an International Airport. The first International flight operation was carried out at Bhubaneswar on 05.05.2014 carrying 12 pax and 3 crew member from Spain. One more is expected on 05th June 2014 from Nigeria.

The flight was originated from Luton Airport, near London (UK). The flight reached Bhubaneswar International Airport after 10 hrs non stop flying at 1335 hrs. Custom & Immigration facility were provided as per rule at the Airport.

The 15 seater charter would depart from Bhubaneswar International Airport to Mumbai today at 1430 UTC ( 20.00 hrs IST).

Ground Handling facilities were provided by Saxon Air Services Pvt. Ltd. A preparatory discussion was held by Sharad Kumar, Airport Director, AAI, Sh. Neeraj Kr. Saxena, GHA agency & Sanjiv Kothari VP-Corporate Affairs Sesa sterlite a vedanta group company.
