The rally was labeled as ‘Ma-Mati-Manuh’ and the West Bengal CM talked about the basic problems of voters and said that common man’s rights are not served at their purpose.

“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh represents Assam in Rajya Sabha, but he remembers that only during elections. The Congress party has ruled the country for so many decades and yet there is hardly anything that has changed for the masses. It has now emerged as an anti-agrarian party and is full of corrupt leaders,” Mamata said.

Popular Assamese actor Biju Phukon joined the TMC today and released his book called ‘Parivartan’, based on Mamata Banerjee’s life.

Former Union Railway Minister and TMC leader, Mukul Boro later visited Pranab Boro’s family, the farmer activist who self-immolated himself day few days ago during a protest of KMSS.
