Session 1967 (B.Sastri):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election B.Sastri was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner B.Sastri (INC) got 102739 votes while his rival S.Goswami (CPI) got votes 49053 respectively. The margin of votes were 53686 ( 26.57% of Total Valid Votes ) . The total no of elector was 397099, from which 213392 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 202022 , from which rejected votes were 11370 ( 5.33% of Total Votes Polled).

Session 1971 (B.Sastri):

In this 1971 edition of Lok Sabha election  B.Sastri was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner B.Sastri (INC) got 89070 votes while his rival Khagendra Nath Saikia (IND) got 45358 votes respectively. The margin of votes were  43712 ( 20.96% of Total Valid Votes ) . The total no of elector was 444779, from which 220051 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 208553 , from which rejected votes were 11498 ( 5.23% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of 6 contestants from Lakhimpur constituency in this session.

Session 1977 (Lalit Kumar Doley):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Lalit Kumar Doley was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Lalit Kumar Doley (INC) got  162750 votes while his rival Mohananda Bora (BLD) got 97518  votes respectively. The margin of votes were 65232 ( 23.67% of Total Valid Votes ) . The total no of elector was 555812, from which  287875 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 275575 , from which rejected votes were 12300 ( 4.27% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of 4 contestants from Lakhimpur constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 612, average no of electors per polling station was 908.

Session 1985 (Gakul Saikia):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election  Gakul Saikia  was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Gakul Saikia  (IND) got 251730 votes while his rival Nameshwar Pegu (CPI) got 81796  votes respectively. The margin of votes were 169934 ( 33.90% of Total Valid Votes ) . The total no of elector was 727183, from which no of electors voted 531880. Total valid votes were 501246, from which rejected votes were 30634 ( 5.76% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of 10 contestants from  constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 992, average no of electors per polling station was 733.

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Bolin Kuli was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Bolin Kuli (INC) got 187610  votes while his rival Ishwar Prasana Hazarika (AGP) got votes 126250  respectively. The margin of votes were 61360 ( 10.26% of Total Valid Votes ) . The total no of elector was 887318, from which 642536  no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 598218 , from which rejected votes were 44318 ( 6.90% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of 15 contestants from Lakhimpur constituency in this session. No of  Polling station was 1132, average no of electors per polling station was 784.

Session 1996 (Arun Kr. Sarma):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Arun Kr. Sarma was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Arun Kr. Sarma (AGP) got 221183  votes while his rival Bolin Kuli (INC) got 217743 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 3440  (0.51% of Total Valid Votes ). The total no of elector was 921444, from which 707589 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 669120 , from which rejected votes were 38469 (5.44% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of 12 contestants from Lakhimpur constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1187, average no of electors per polling station was 776.

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Rani Narah  was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Rani Narah (INC) got  268794 votes while his rival Dr. Arun Kr. Samra  (AGP) got 148012  votes respectively. The margin of votes were 120782 ( 17.99% of Total Valid Votes ) . The total no of elector was 1057801, from which 705158  no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 671209  , from which rejected votes were 33949 (4.81% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of  8 contestants from Lakhimpur constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1267, average no of electors per polling station was 835.

Session 1999 (Rani Narah):

In this 1999 edition of Lok Sabha election Rani  Narah was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Rani  Narah (INC) got 255925 votes while his rival Sarbananda Sonowal (AGP) got 201402 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 54523 (7.33% of Total Valid Votes ). The total no of elector was 1060744, from which 767004 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 743823 , from which rejected votes were 23181 (3.02% of Total Votes Polled). There were total no of 10 contestants from  Lakhimpur constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1272, average no of electors per polling station was 833

Session 2004 (Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma  (AGP) got 300865  votes while his rival Rani Narah (INC) got 272717  votes respectively. The margin of votes were 28148 ( 3.52% of Total Valid Votes ). The total no of elector was 1126632, from which 800461  no of electors voted. There were total no of  11 contestants from Lakhimpur  constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1277, average no of electors per polling station was 882.

Session 2009 (Rani Narah):

In this 2009 edition of Lok Sabha election Rani Narah  was selected as a MP from Lakhimpur Constituency. As a winner Rani Narah  (INC) got 352330 votes while his rival Dr. Arun Kr. Sarma (AGP) got 307758 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 44572. The total no of elector was 1332518, from which 910710 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 909381 , from which rejected votes were only 240. There were total no of 15 contestants from Lakhimpur constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1385, average no of electors per polling station was 961.
