Rahul Gandhi visits Assam during bandh

The Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi visited the International Airport Lokpriyo Gopinath Bordoloi where he was honored by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Bhubaneswar Kalita Assam Pradesh Congress President and other senior party leaders. Rahul went by a helicopter to Diphu in the hill district of Karbi Anglong where he is scheduled to collaborate with commissioner of the Autonomous Council. Meantime, a 48-hour Assam Bandh called by the Adivasi National Convention, a joint forum of 26 Adivasi groups, asserts against purported bleeding of the suggest by the Congress, and has also affected normal life in certain parts of the States. Demonstration by Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad and a party of the All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union have also been reported from upper and lower Assam against yesterday’s event and declared neglect almost the endemic people of the State by the Congress.
