Koraput, 10 May-2014, Abhijit Saha: The Inspector General of Police of the south western range of Odisha, Yashwant Jethwa today said that a top woman Maoist cadre has surrendered before the police today in the afternoon in the Koraput district of Odisha.
Woman Maoist Walisi Mandangi Arrested In Koraput
Reports say that the woman Maoist known by the name Walisi Mandangi is a resident of Rajengipadar village in Narayanpatna block of Koraput district. She had joined the Communist Party of India – Maoist in the year 2009 and had received training on utilization of different arms, IED and landmines.
Jethwa said that the woman Maoist is also a member of the central regional committee of the banned unit and is suspected to be implicated with several crimes.
The police sources said that she also carries a reward of 2 Lakh Rupees by the government of Odisha. The state government had announced the reward for any information that may lead to her arrest.
