Sundargarh, 8 May-2014, Abhijit Saha: The Body of the election official, who was missing since 10th April from Sundargarh district of Odisha, has been recovered today from a forest.

Body Of Missing Polling Officer Recovered From Forest

The polling official known by the name Diwan Mundari was aged 45 years. Mundari was a staff of Jobaghat Upper Primary School. He was appointed as the 5th election officer for conduction of polling at one of the booths under Sundergarh sadar region on 10th April.
On 10th April it was learned that he returned with the polling party and had also submitted his report to the concerned Returning Officer of Sundargarh Sadar, but he did not return home that day.
The police sources said that after searching for about four weeks, his dead body decomposed by moth was marked by the cops in Podajalanga forest on Wednesday night.
Although initial surveys had revealed that he died due to excess consumption liquor, but the local people and family members have demanded a high level inquiry into the incident.
