Baramulla, 5 May 2014, Faheem Mir: A youth was arrested by army on the charges of stone pelting in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Later a number of protesters blocked Srinagar- Muzafarabad National highway at Singhpora Pattan on Monday.

Army arrested a youth at Singhpora for his involvement in stone-pelting, eyewitnesses told Srinagar based news agency CNS that after the arrest of the young boy, people took to streets and started freedom slogans and blocked Srinagar-Muzafarabad highway. Sources said that police after verification released the youth. While, police arrested three boys for pasting anti-election posters in different parts of Baramulla, sources said. Meanwhile SSP Baramulla told a local news agency of Kashmir CNS that police arrested 3 JKLF workers who were pasting anti-election posters in different parts of North Kashmir. He added that a case has been registered against the there workers. Identified as Muhammad Jamal Dar son of Ghulam Muhammad of Kunzar, Siraj-u-Din Mir son of Ghulam Hasan, and Abdul Rehman Gojri, son of Abdul Aziz of Tangmarg .
