The Star Wars universe is adding a veteran to its ranks. Woody Harrelson has been confirmed for the Han Solo stand-alone movie that’ll explore our favorite space rogue’s younger days before he hooked up with the Rebellion.

LucasFilm made the announcement Wednesday that Harrelson would be joining the film, which is set to star Alden Ehrenreich in the title role. Co-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 Jump StreetThe LEGO Movie) sound excited to have him on board.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” they said in a statement. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”

Well okay then. Now that you’ve got our expectations up, if we don’t see Woody play space ping pong with Chewbacca then we’re boycotting.
