Congress Leader Lodged Complaint Against BJD For Allegedly Rigging During Election

Bhubaneswar, 2 May-2014, Abhijit Saha: Prithviraj Kuanr who is a Congress leader and contesting from the Ghasipura Assembly constituency has moved to the High Court of Odisha and alleged the extensive rigging by the ruling party BJD during election on 17th April. Kuanr has urged the court on Wednesday to ask the CEO to direct re-polling in all booths of the constituency.

Satyabrata Panda who is the BJP candidate for the same constituency has also lodged a complaint with the Election Commission in New Delhi alleging extensive rigging in 84 booths in Ghasipura. He has also submitted few video clippings of booth rigging by the ruling BJD agents.

In the meantime, besides Panda and Kuanr, two independent candidates contesting for Ghasipura Assembly seat and Keonjhar Lok Sabha Seat have also alleged rigging in booths under Ghasipura Assembly Constituency.
