Guwahati, 2 May-2014, Sandipan Sharma: Gauhati University’s late changes in its reviewing framework have neglected to meet the desires of people. The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has chosen to show on the college premises on Friday requesting further changes in the framework.

The SFI today told the media that as opposed to stopping the escape clauses of the past framework, the late changes have made more issues. “Taking after dissents by us and other understudy associations, the college chose to displace the arrangement of giving relative percentile with rate. Anyway even the new process is broken and needs quick changes,” said Kashyap Choudhury, joint secretary of SFI’s state board. Choudhury said they had held an arrangement of gatherings with academicians and specialists before indicating out the issues in the reviewing framework. “As stated by the new framework, the college will utilize an unusual recipe by which the contrast of one imprint will prompt a general distinction of 5 for every penny in specific cases,” Choudhury said. For instance, under the new framework, one’s general rate will be 70 if one gets 69 and 70 in two subjects separately, while the rate will be 75 if one gets 70 in both the subjects, the person body said.
