Eight People Died In An Accident In Odisha


Odisha, February 20, Abhijit Saha: Eight people are reportedly killed in an accident in Kalahandi District of Odisha today. The incident happened when they were returning from a marriage party when their jeep carrying them shoved into a tree leading to the accidental death of those eight people, the police sources said.

It is known from the police that the jeep was returning through National Highway No. 26 from Seinpur Village in Bhawanipatna. They were driving at around 1 AM the last night when the accident took place.

There were total 11 passengers in the vehicle. The vehicle driver lost control of his vehicle while taking a very sharp turning leading to the collision with the tree.

Out of the 11 passengers seven people were died on the spot and one people died after bringing to the hospital. Two children were also included in the death list. They were aged 11 and 13 years.

The accident spot was a few kms away from the district headquarter Bhawanipatna. In this accident three persons were injured and have been admitted to the nearest Government Hospital at Bhawanipatna. Among the injured a boy aged 10 years was miraculously escaped. Sources say that the conditions of the injured are critical.
