Guwahati, February 14, Jasmine Ahmed: The Police said on Friday that a youth was detained for arduously coercing money from departed Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta in the name of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) where Paresh Baruah is the Chief. Police also said that the Youth had been calling up Prafulla Mahanta from two contact numbers and demanded him to allow some bulk in the name of the ULFA Chief Paresh Baruah.  Police also told that the Youth sent SMS to Prafulla Mahanta and exposed to kill Paresh Baruah if Mahanta banned to pay the bulk. Police said, “An accusation was certified by Prafulla Mahanta on Thursday placed on which we drifted out the observation and jailed the Youth”. Police has observed his connection to a militaristic accouterments. The President of Regional Political Party Asom Gana Parishad, Prafulla Mahanta said that the hazard calls started coming since before the Rajya Sabha (Feb 7) ballot in Assam and after the ballot results were declared, the number of expanded. I affirmed this to the State DGP consistently on Thursday; I had certified a formal accusation in this view. Prafulla Mahanta also said, “I am abreast that police have detained one Youth for this and that he is not convoluted with any militaristic accouterments, there could be Political scheme after this”.
