Actor Pooja Hegde says she is a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan and working with the actor in her debut Bollywood film Mohenjo Daro was surreal for her. The 25-year-old actor will be seen playing Hrithik’s love interest in Ashutosh Gowariker’s historical saga set in the backdrop of the Indus Valley civilisation.

“I have been a fan of him. He was my favourite actor. So, to actually do a film with him years later is quite surreal. When I started modelling, one of my friends had said she hoped I got to work with Hrithik one day. And that came true. Dreams do come true,” Pooja said. Before foraying into Bollywood, the model-actor had starred in Tamil superhero film Mugamoodi, besides being part of Telugu films Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda.

Pooja hopes that with her debut Hindi film, she will be able to establish herself in Bollywood. “A debut film is an audition to the world because no one has ever seen anything of yours before. People are waiting to see you. We live in a time where everyone expects you to be good right from your first film,” she said.

Pooja says she loved every bit of her experience while working on the film as both Hrithik and her character possess an old-world charm, which is missing in today’s romance. “Our film is a pure love story. Yet it is still charming, naughty and fun. It is very different from the techno-crazy, fast-paced, neon life that we lead today.”
