Post the leap of TV show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, which will now be set in the 1960s, Sartaj Gill and Isha Singh will be playing the lead roles taking over from Siddhant Karnick and Drasthi Dhami.
A new character is also being introduced in the form of Chandni Bhagwanani. Chandni best remembered for her lead role in Amita Ka Amit will be playing a negative role for the first time. She says, “Initially, I was a little sceptical about the role as it was negative, but then I realised that I should do it, as the role has so many shades to it. My character Bindu is an obsessed lover, who can go to any extent for the love of her life who is Raja.
She is nasty, mean and a spoilt brat who just throws her weight around and doesn’t listen to anybody.” Chandni adds that her character has been influenced by Urmila Matondkar’s in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. “I am planning to watch the movie as many times as I can to get it right,” she says.
