Haryana government making efforts to woo foreign investors: CM Manohar Lal Khattar

Chandigarh: With a view to give a boost to the industry sector and generate employment opportunities for four lakh youths in Haryana, the state government is making efforts to woo foreign investors, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Sunday.

Keeping in view the positive results yielded by his visit to the USA and Canada, the CM would be leading a six-member business delegation to Japan and China from Sunday to January 22 to invite foreign direct investment to the state.

The state government is also organising ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit’ in Gurgaon on March 7 and 8 to present Haryana as an ideal destination for investment, Khattar said, adding foreigners, NRIs and people from Haryana living abroad will be attending the summit.

Expressing satisfaction with the results of the first phase of the ongoing elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions in the state, the CM said it was for the first time that a large number of educated youth and women had been elected. Their victory is due to public’s support for BJP and the state government’s decision to amend election rules, he added.
