Bihar Elections 2015: Trends show neck and neck fight between NDA and Mahagathbandhan

Patna: According to early trends that are coming, some channels are showing BJP-led NDA ahead in Bihar Assembly election results, while some are giving edge to Mahagathbandhan.


While some channels showed the saffron alliance almost sweeping the polls, some others also showed a much closer fight.

On NDTV, NDA was shown to be ahead in 107 seats against 74 trending towards the grand alliance out of a total of 186 seats, projection for which was available out of the 243 seas.

ABP showed the NDA ahead in 85 while the Nitish Kumar-led alliance ahead in 75 seats out of 165.

Trends suggested that the contest has boiled down to BJP-versus JD-U fight, with both parties doing much better than their allies.

Lalu Prasad-led RJD appeared to be suffering heavy losses, according to the initial trends.

Among the NDA allies, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha (Secular) appeared retaining some ground but other allies like Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP were shown performing poorly.
