Special Report: 15th no Aligarh Lok Sabha Constituency, State of Uttar Pradesh

Aligarh, March 27, Sandipan Sarma: In this special report of Lok Sabha Constituency today I will try give a brief look on Aligarh Constituency of Uttar Pradesh, which is situated in eastern India.

This Constituency is consists of 5 Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC). They are as follows:

1. Khair (SC)

2. Barauli

3. Atrauli

4. Koil

5. Aligarh

Session 1957 (Nar Deo):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Nar Deo was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner Nar Deo (INC) got 67995 votes while his rival A. Khwaja (IND) got 29936 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 38889 (27.99% of Total Valid Votes). There were 8 total no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session.

Session 1962 (B. Maurya):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election B. Maurya was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner B. Maurya (REP) got 75330 votes while his rival S. Kumar (IND) got 50554 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 24556 (12.11% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 7 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session.

Session 1967 (S. Shastri):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election S. Shastri was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner S. Shastri (IND) got 63334 votes while his rival R. Pratap (IND) got 45567 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 20557 (10.55% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 9 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session.

Session 1971 (S. Shastri):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election S. Shastri was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner S. Shastri (IND) got 107558 votes while his rival Y. Saleem (INC) got 36665 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 70773 (30.98% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 7 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session.

Session 1977 (N. Singh):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election N. Singh was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner N. Singh (BLD) got 255495 votes while his rival G. Singh (INC) got 63556 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 141779 (47.66% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 13 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 798, average no of electors per polling station was 800.

Session 1980 (Indra Kumari):

In this 1980 edition of Lok Sabha election Indra Kumari was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner Indra Kumari (JNP) got 135580 votes while his rival G. Singh (INC) got 126674 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 15776 (3.77% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 26 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1665, average no of electors per polling station was 755.

Session 1984 (Usha Rani):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Usha Rani was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner Usha Rani (INC) got 205509 votes while his rival B. Mourya (LKD) got 141554 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 65595 (12.88% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 24 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. In this edition of Lok Sabha election S. Pal was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner S. Pal (JD) got 247553 votes while his rival Usha Rani (INC) got 236642 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 18871 (2.77% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 9 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. Session 1991 (S. Devi):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election S. Devi was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner S. Devi (BJP) got 257996 votes while his rival Usha Rani (INC) got 171997 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 85779 (14.66% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 40 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1667, average no of electors per polling station was 955.

Session 1999 (S. Devi):

In this 1999 edition of Lok Sabha election S. Devi was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner S. Devi (BJP) got 366445 votes while his rival B. Singh (JD) got 355539 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 14776 (1.87% of Total Valid Votes). The total no of elector was 1437745, from which 771444 no of electors voted. Total valid votes were 761881, from which rejected votes were 9443. There were total 10 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1451, average no of electors per polling station was 767.

Session 2004 (B. Singh):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election B. Singh was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner B. Singh (INC) got 355699 votes while his rival Sheela Gautam (BJP) got 236671 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 119458 (12.56% of Total Valid Votes). There were total 19 no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 1578, average no of electors per polling station was 1156.

Session 2009 (Raj Kumari Chauhan):

In this edition of Lok Sabha election Raj Kumari Chauhan was selected as a MP from Aligarh Constituency. As a winner Raj Kumari Chauhan (BSP) got 260561 votes while his rival Zafar Alam (SP) got 212474 votes respectively. The margin of votes were 56987. There were total 23no of contestants from Aligarh constituency in this session. No of Polling station was 2032, average no of electors per polling station was 806.
