PM Modi hails contribution of Indian Americans; takes indirect jibe at Gandhi family

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed Indian diaspora at a mammoth reception in San Jose’s SAP Centre and said there has been a change in the mindset of the people across the world as they are now saying that 21st century belongs to India.

Asserting that he is giving every minute of his life in the service of the nation, Modi said he would live and die for the country.

Modi said that in the past 16 months, world’s perception about India has changed dramatically. The world is looking at India with a new vision and aspiration. He attributed this change to the commitment, strength and pledge of the 125 crore people of the country.

While addressing the Indian diaspora at SAP Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the need for electronic governance in India to take the prospect of developments further.

Indirectly, PM Modi also took a dig at Congress party over corruption and said, ” In our country it doesn’t take much for allegations to come up against politicians. This person made 50 crores, that son made 250 crore, that daughter made 500 crores, someone’s damaad (son-in-law) made 1000 crores.”

Modi on Terrorism

* Terror and global warming are two pressing issues the world faces. We need to mitigate these two menaces.

* UN still hasn’t been able to define terrorism. If it will take so much time to define, how will we tackle it.

* There is no thing called good terrorism or bad terrorism. There is no good terrorism and bad terrorism.

* On its 70th Anniversary UN must clarify who’s with terrorist & who stands with humanity.Picture must be made clear. We are harbingers of peace. We come from the land of Gandhi & Buddha.
