The apex court bench said that Rs.5,000 crore should be deposited in cash, and the rest Rs.5,000 crore to be furnished through a bank guarantee.

The advocate of Sahara Group narrated their inability to raise such a huge amount when Mr Roy is in jail but the court refused to moderate its orders.

The advocate also requested for releasing Mr Roy on depositing Rs.2,500 crore with SEBI and asked a time of one month for paying the rest of the amount.

Finally the court has adjourned the hearing for the next day giving time to Mr Roy to respond to its order.
