Black money worth 85 lakh hunted in Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur

Thiruvananthapuram,19 March, Sreeparvathy K.: Black money was hunted in Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur by Police and Special Election Squad. Police raid in Thiruvananthapuram found 60 lakh rupees and Special Election Squad search in Thrissur caught 25 lakh rupees.

The Police have arrested eight persons regarding the cases. The Police search in Thiruvananthapuram was after a tip off to Medical College CI Vinod and seized 25 lakh from a house at Enchackal and later 34 lakh from Pooja Garments at Aryashala.

The Income Tax officials have questioned the owner of Pooja Garments, Prithvi Singh. The Police are looking for the tenant of the house Shamseer and international Hawala mafia agent Latheef. Police have arrested Tamil Nadu resident Alexander and Koduvalli natives Anas, Anaisaar, Anzar and Anaaz. City Police Commissioner H Venkitesh said that they will be handed over to Income Tax officials. The Special Election Squad has captured Rs.25 lakh from Edamuttam, Thrissur and Police have arrested two persons in this case.

Meanwhile, BJP member VV Rajesh has alleged that the money is being brought for a candidate in Thiruvananthapuram and City Police has rejected this claim.
