Thrissur, 17 March, Sreeparvathy K.: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that terms like “wrecked creature” should not be in the dictionary of Congress workers. He also warned party workers to not use such words without mentioning the Facebook post of VT Balram MLA. He said that UDF upholds tolerance and party workers should respect the criticisms against UDF. He was speaking at the inauguration function of UDF election Convention at Thrissur.
“Party followers have the right to criticize and if the criticism is found to be meaningful, they should be corrected. I was criticized many times in my political career. But they were not meant to weaken me, but to correct and strengthen me,” said Chief Minister.
Thrithala MLA VT Balram made the Facebook post that candidates should be given common courtesy when they call on seeking votes. He also wrote that such wrecked creatures still exist and drive away the candidates coming to their homes seeking votes. The post was on Idukki Bishop who criticised Congress candidate from Idukki, Dean Kuriakose when he arrived to visit the Bishop to seek blessings.
